ARE YOU EXCITED FOR THE UPCOMING 2022 MAZDA MX-30? YOU SHOULD BE

 

The Mazda MX-30 has a lot going for it. Its electric motor provides 144 horsepower and 200 pound-feet of torque off of a 35.5 kWh lithium-ion battery. When you’re at a DC fast-charging station, you’ll be able to go from a 20%-full battery to 80% in about 36 minutes, allowing you to get back on the road quick.

 

You can expect the same terrific ride and safety that comes with every Mazda around Nipomo when you get your hands on a Mazda MX-30. It will come with the latest technology in i-Activsense, including new detection technology for monitoring the curb, and not just the lane markings, for Lane Keep Assist.

 

This new electric SUV will be available here in California this fall, and Mazda plans to introduce more electrified models to the San Luis Obispo area soon. A plug-in hybrid for larger platforms and a traditional hybrid for a new Mazda crossover are in the works.

 

With new internals comes a chance to redesign some things about the Mazda MX-30. Though very similar to the Mazda CX-3 at first glance, this EV was designed with a new direction in mind to match the modern lifestyle.

 

One of the most striking design choices you’ll notice are the freestyle doors. Both the front and back doors open away from the center, allowing you to get a wide-open cabin. You’ll not only have an easier time getting in and out as you need to, but you’ll also be able to sit in your car without feeling disconnected from the beautiful outdoors of Grover Beach. Mazda’s hope is that you’ll find new and creative ways to make this car truly your own.

 

Electric vehicles represent an eco-friendly and environmentally minded future, so Mazda has taken steps to include those ideals in the very design of the cabin. Across the interior, you’ll find elements that evoke the image of floating, from the island gear shift to the light center armrest. These airy motifs communicate the responsibility every one of us has to ensure our children and their children can breathe clean air around Arroyo Grande for generations to come.

 

Several of the materials used in the interior are recycled from waste products or made from low-impact and sustainable sources. The door trim is made from recycled plastic bottles, giving it a fibrous quality that continues that theme of air. The Heritage Cork in the console tray is harvested from the bark of trees without felling. You’ll find these sorts of responsible materials everywhere you look in the Mazda MX-30.

 

If you’re hoping for a hybrid variant of this model for your Lompoc drives, you’re in luck. Although we don’t know much, Mazda has confirmed that a PHEV variant of the Mazda MX-30 will be coming at some point. It will use a rotary generator, but only to charge the battery. This gives you an extended range with a surprisingly quiet gas engine and consistent performance.
